Dumplings and Wontons

 On Tuesday last week miss McCombie and Amy planed for Amys mum to come in and show us how to make dumplings and wontons. The ingredients is some pork and beef 1 kg of flour 600 mills of water some Chinese chives oil and won tong pastry. She took us though all of the steps how to make them. First she told us how to make the dough and the meat.  We got the dough out of the bowl and split into 4 pieces and started stretched it in to a circle and the cut it into little pieces. After the we got the rolling pins and rolled them out flat in the tale and put the meat in the middle and then fold it over.  The won tongs to me were hard to make you have to do a lot of different folding skills Bill, Amys brother taught some people how to do the won tongs Zara showed me and Tiare how to do it but i wasn't good. The bosh took about 10 to 15 minutes. When the were finished Sally spread them out evenly so we got 6 dumplings and 2 wontons  They where really yum. 

    

Spring development

 Today Mary came to our school again to look at our trees that have grown over the last couple of months. We have lots of different tress  and they are all growing so fast . The different types of trees are Apple Plum and Feijoa When the trees are young we have to cut of the fruit that has started to grow because the tree might split because the fruit will be to heavy. Here are some pictures that miss McCombie took.

This is mine Mickis ,Amy's, Jenaydes tree we planted it called it Patrica and its a apple tree. We planted another tree called petunia but we only got a picture with Patrica.

Speech 2020 twin towers

                       Twin Towers

Today I am going to talk to you about the twin towers.

 As you all probably know the 9th of September 2001

 something really terrible happened to the twin towers. 

The twin towers were built in the 1970s and were destroyed

 in 2001. Nobody really knows the name of the man who 

decided to crash the planes into the twin towers which caused

 a lot of deaths and injuries to the people in new York.    

The twin towers were known as the tallest building in 

 world until the Sears Tower in Chicago was built. About

 343 firefighters and 2 paramedics and 37 police officers

 died trying to save people during 9/11.

There were approximately 18 survivors. There was one survivor

 and he was rescued 27 hours after the collapse of the North Tower.  

19 years ago this man called Welles Crawford did something

 so brave. He was only 24 years old when he was in the

 south tower on the day of september 9/11. As he got out

 of the building he texted his mum and told her that he

 was ok but he needed to go back in and help the firefighters

 save as many people as he can. He ran into the building and

 went up and checked every floor and found a group of

 survivors on the 78th floor. He managed to get some of the

 people out but sadly he didn't survive.   

Did you know there were 94 stories in the twin towers and it

 took 9 months to clean up after 9/11. After the north tower

 hit 18 minutes after the south tower was hit. The north tower

 was hit at 8:46 am and the south tower was hit at 9:03 am.

 After the planes hit the towers the towers burnt for 99 days until

 the fires were put out. The twin towers have been targeted before

 with a bomb that killed 6 people and wounded 1000 people. As the

 plane hit into the twin towers a 47 story building collapsed because

 of the damage that happened to the twin towers and however there

 was a third plane and that hit into the building. 

Conclusion:

In conclusion, to sum up my points about the Twin Towers. These points are…

• The Twin Towers attack happened on September the 11th 2001

• There were nearly 3000 people killed

• The planes crashed into the Twin Towers

• There were 343 firefighters, 37 police officers and 2 paramedics died.

Tongan slide

This is my Tongan slide that me and Jenayde made today. We had to choose between 5 different activity's and we chose to just do heaps of facts about Tonga Though. The five activity's were Tongan dances Tongan food art and just do some research about it.   With all of this research we found i think that i have learnt alot about Tonga.

diary entry

For one of our reading activity we had to do a diary entry. We had to choose a character from the book i chose prosper.  

Dear Diary,

Today I sent Bo and Hornet to do a job for me to go to the redhead bearded man to help him with something. Later that day they came back and said it took a long time to get it done but they finally did it. Then later we made our way over to pick up the money that bo and hornet earned for going to the job. The redhead bearded man was going to give us more than we expected until an item fell out of hornets pocket and the redhead bearded man saw it and he knew it was his. Then we all ran away back to Scippos hotel “I thought that we would never get the money for that job” sad hornet. Then Scippo pulled out a lot of money and showed it to Hornet. Hornet was very confused and shocked and snatched the money and went inside  while counting all of the money that Scippo showed her. I was really disappointed in Hornet for stealing something that belongs to the redhead bearded man.
